How should I prep my hair before a bridal hairstyling?
To get the absolute most from your bridal hair styling we recommend the below steps
Apply Hair Oil
A few weeks before your bridal hair styling we recommend incorporating hair oil into your grooming routine. Hair oil helps to moisturise dry hair stands and can also add shine to your hair. We suggest using a hair oil made from natural organic ingredients which will also protect long term hair health.
Use a Gentle Sulfate-Free ShampooIn the lead up to your hair styling, we recommend ditching the sulfate. Sulfate shampoos remove natural oils from your scalp and can cause your hair to dry out.
In the days leading up to your bridal hair styling, we recommend not washing your hair with shampoo at all and instead you should opt for a dry shampoo.
Use a Conditioner that helps strengthen hair strandsIn the run-up to your hair styling choose a conditioner that’s specially formulated to nourish, hydrate and strengthen your hair strands. Look for a conditioner that supports your hair bonds to minimise drag and pulling while brushing.
Brushing on the Day of the StylingOn the day of the appointment, we recommend taking a little extra time to brush your hair. We all live busy lives so it can be tempting to brush quickly and force out any knots immediately before the appointment. However, we recommend brushing slowly and purposely to avoid breaking strands. Hair is most vulnerable when it’s wet, so please take extra care if you’re combing immediately after a shower.
